Resource Directory for Cancer Care Professionals

The Cancer Care Resource Directory provides a listing of organizations relevant to all the cancer professional disciplines, as well as listing of patient centered organizations that provide resources for breast cancer survivors. This is a directory listing compiled for Oncologists and cancer care professionals looking for breast cancer resources and organizations.

The American Association of Oncology Social Work

The American Association of Oncology Social Work has been a leading advocate for Survivorship issues.  The Association's website provides resources and education for those interested in psychosocial support of cancer survivors.

Oncology Nursing Society

The Oncology Nursing Society's website, provides educational and programmatic resources.  The organization functions as the primary voice for Oncology Nursing in the United States.  ONS has been a voice in Survivorship issues from the Oncology Nursing perspective. 

Fertile Hope

Fertile Hope provides professional education regarding  infertility risk and fertility preservation issues.  This organization also provides Survivor-related advice.

The American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society provides a number of professional resources for cancer care providers.  Among these resources include demographic statistics on cancer incidence and survival in the United States.

National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, founded in 1986 provides support and educational resources for cancer survivors.  The link here will connect to the Professional resources available from this organization.

Cancer Care

CancerCare provides psychosocial, financial, and educational resources for patients with cancer.  CancerCare provides support groups for patients and families affected by cancer online, by phone, and in person. 


Cancer.Net is the patient education resource of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, (ASCO).  The site provides an extensive listing of patient education resources for common and uncommon malignancies.  Information is readily availble for downloading and printing, to provide as a patient education tool.

The Livestrong Foundation provides a number of valuable tools for Cancer professionals as resources for Survivorship.  This link provides access to the foundation's portal.

ASCO, The American Society of Clinical Oncology is devoted to research, professional education, and to providing resources for the Oncology professional.  From this home page, professional patient information can be accessed at the Cancer.Net homepage.  ASCO's publications include the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and the Journal of Oncology Practice.  Both journals can be searched from their respective homepages.
