This directory was compiled for primary care providers. Learn of support organizations to match your interests. All of the websites below focus on providing support, clinical tools and breast cancer standards of care. Pink Ribbon Survivors Network has attempted to provide an all-inclusive directory of breast cancer resources for primary care providers.

Cancer Survivorship E-Learning Series for Primary Care Providers

These online learning modules have been developed by the CDC, the George Washinton Cancer Institute, and the National Cancer Survivor Resource Center.   

Cancer Survivorship E-Learning Series for Primary Care Providers

This module has been developed by the American Cancer Society in collaboration with the George Washington University Cancer Institute.  It has been funded by the CDC.  This site provides three free Continuing Education Credits in three separate online modules, designed for Primary Healthcare Providers to learn about issues in the care of cancer survivors.

National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center

The National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center is the result of a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the George Washington University Cancer Institute.  Learn more of the resources provided here.  This project has been funded by a grant from the CDC.

Cancer Survivorship in Primary Care/ Resources for Primary Care Providers

This resource includes educational information for breast cancer survivorship as well as other common cancers.  The website features key resources, clinical information, research, education, and patient/family information as it pertains to cancer survivorship.  Access this resource here.

The American Psychosocial Oncology Society Provides Helpline for Counseling Services

" The American Psychosocial Oncology Society offers a toll-free national Helpline as a resource to help people with cancer find counseling services in their own communities."  Read more in this article in The ASCO Post, volume 3, # 15, October 15, 2012, p. 93

Sharsheret

Sharsheret provides health care personnel educational resouces for patients with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, which occurs through inheritance of BRCA1 and BRCA 2 mutations.  These mutations are frequently found in persons of Eastern European ( Ashkenazi) Jewish heritage.  Sharsheret provides programs for both health care professionals and individuals affected by these syndromes.  This website link will lead to a variety of resources for patient education and counseling.

Fertile Hope

Fertile Hope.org provides clinical tools and professional education for health care professionals to understand and advise survivors as to the risk of infertility, and the programs available to preserve fertility.  Patient education resources are available from this organization's website.

The American Society of Clinical Oncology, (ASCO)

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), was founded in 1964, and maintains a membership of nearly 30,000 cancer professionals.  The home page, linked here provides access to resources concerning  breast cancer standards of care and follow up, as well as access to the Society's patient education site, known as Cancer.Net.

National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship was founded in 1986, and is a leading voice in Cancer Survivorship issues.  The organization's home page for health professionals, which is accessed here, offers a.)  A Cancer Survival Toolbox, b.) Cancer Resources for Patients c.) a Planning Your Patient's Care section,  d.) Professional Training,  and e.) a News feature.

CancerCare

CancerCare is devoted to Social Service counseling, education, financial assistance, and support group assistance for patients with cancer, throughout the United States, provided free of cost, if necessary.  This link is to the organization's health care professional's website.  CancerCare's patient resources and programs can be located from this site. 

Cancer.Net

Cancer.Net is the patient educational arm of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, (ASCO).  This website provides a number of guidelines and educational tools for providers to educate breast cancer survivors.
