National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center

The National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center is the result of a collaboration from the American Cancer Society and the George Washington University Cancer Institute.  It has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).  Learn of its resources here.

CancerConnect

CancerConnect is an online network for people with cancer and their caregivers. This dedicated social network provides a safe and secure environment for individuals interested in cancer to learn, support, and connect with others who have similar issues and concerns. There are currently over 60 CancerConnect "groups" including one dedicated to breast cancer. In addition, groups also sharing information and insight into their personal experiences with caregiving, genetic testing, screening, prevention, health and wellness, and supportive care topics.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network aims to offer the most current and trustworthy cancer information to patients and their families in a manner that is easy to understand. The NCCN has developed Patient Guidelines that are meant to help patients talk with doctors and make the best decisions possible. They are based on the NCCN Guidelines that are developed for doctors. Pink-Link is a non-profit organization that provides an online support services for breast cancer patients and survivors. Their mission is to give women the knowledge needed to promote wellness and enhance the quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

My Oncofertility.org is a resource about parenthood after cancer. Oncofertility describes a union of two fields of fertility management and oncology. The organization recognizes that the chemotherapy and radiation, these life-preserving treatments that are given to cancer patients, has an impact on their fertility in a very profound way.

Cancer and Careers empowers and educates people with cancer to thrive in their workplace by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events. The website offers free publications, career coaching, and a series of support groups and educational seminars for employees with cancer and their healthcare providers and coworkers.

CURE is a free cancer magazine that focuses on treatment updates, psychosocial issues, survivorship, and advocacy.

Cancer in Young Adults

Cancer in Young Adults is a feature of Cancer.Net, which provides professionally developed information and resources for a variety of cancer conditions.  This website provides many valuable resources and links to a large database of programs to utlilize.  Cancer.Net is a feature of The American Society of Clinical Oncology, the largest professional organization of cancer specialists that exists.
