The Livestrong Foundation, founded by Lance Armstrong's mission to serve cancer survivors is one of the leading organizations in the nation dedicated to providing support, education, resources, and programs for cancer survivors.  It's funding has assisted thousands of cancer survivors around the country. The Livestrong Foundation continues to be a leading voice and advocate for cancer survivors.

Fertile Hope

Fertile Hope provides a fertility resource guide for the individual with cancer to understand how cancer and its treatment affects fertility, and to learn of the options and resources to preserve fertility.  The website provides a fertility risk calculator to help identify the likelihood of fertility issues with specific cancer treatments.  This website also provides health care professionals with educational and referral resources to benefit the patient wishing to explore fertility options.

SHARE

SHARE or Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer provides a support and educational community for women with breast cancer, run by those affected by these cancers.  "SHARE's mission is to create and sustain a supportive community of women affected by breast or ovarian cancer."

National Breast Cancer Coalition

The National Breast Cancer Coalition provides information, insight, and advocacy to help Survivors understand and influence the legislative process involved in fighting breast cancer.  Learn more about their mission and join in the political action to help fund research to end breast cancer.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Network

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Network provides education, clinical trial resources, news and updates, and perspectives on employment issues for those with metastatic breast cancer.  Support groups and other resources are provided within its website.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer

Living Beyond Breast Cancer features programs for women with all stages of breast cancer, from all ethnicities, and for young women with breast cancer.  The organization offers a Survivor's Helpline from its homepage and has the  motto: " LLBC empowers all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life."  Their homepage can be found at: LLBC.org

Myriad Genetic Laboratories

Myriad Genetic Laboratories is the leading site in the nation for testing for gene mutations that cause Hereditary Cancers.  BRCA mutation testing is done by Myriad Labs.  Myriad Labs has taken a leading role in patient education regarding Hereditary Cancers.

A Survivor's Wellness Plan

Breastcancer.org is a leading resource for information, education, advocacy, and community dialogue.  The website covers a wide range of educational tools including programs to help recover from the effects of breast cancer treatment. 

Young Survival Coalition

The Young Survival Coalition was formed for young women recovering from breast cancer.  The organization provides a number of empowerment resources and navigation tools for young women with breast cancer.

Journey Forward

Journey Forward ( www.JourneyForward.org) provides a Survivorship Care Plan and other resources for Survivorship.  The Survivorship Care Plan is provided as a document that can be downloaded and customized to each individual cancer survivor.    A library of professional articles from reputable organizations is provided for patients and health care professionals.

The MyLifeLine.org Cancer Foundation

The MyLifeLine.org Cancer Foundation ( www.MyLifeLine.org) provides free, confidential websites for cancer patients and their supporting community communicate on a private webpage.  The organization provides many tools to organize support through active treatment, including a supporters calendar, which allows friends and family volunteer for requested tasks via an online tool.  The foundation's website also provides educational, and other supportive tools for cancer patients and their supporters.  A printed keepsake of supportive comments can be obtained from the website, to commenorate the personal comments provided during a patient's course of treatment and beyond.
